I've been watching Formula 1 on TV since 2000 when I was 17. I've always had a passive interest in cars, but it was only when I watched the televised broadcast of the 1999 Korea Super Prix F3 race that I realized my body was indeed craving for motor racing. I started watching on the tele every race I could - F1, F3, CART, IndyCar, MotoGP, Superbikes, WRC, etc . Living in the quiet city of Thiruvananthapuram in the state of Kerala in south India meant that I would always be away from any live motor racing and people with interest in it, but that's okay as I love my home and my city otherwise. The TV and the Internet would be my only windows to the sport and since 2008 I decided that apart from my job as a Content Writer with a private firm here, I would devote my time to learn more about motor racing, gather information about the history of the sport, and know more about it in a professional manner.

It's been a marvelous journey and I'm still learning many aspects of the sport. I just like doing it, and I need to do it because my mind needs it. From the time I watched my first race on TV, I wanted to become a racing driver and like Narain Karthikeyan represent India in F1. I did some karting, but I soon realized I was financially and perhaps even physically not fit for it. Hence I decided to learn about motor racing and passively practice the sport. I also paint, and motor racing is again the theme of my painting. When I paint a racing car I feel like I'm racing it!

Ever since my childhood I've studied the Bible, and I'm still doing it and uncovering the deep truths hidden. Bible study is another exciting journey I've been through just like motor racing. I know these are strange combinations, but that's what I've always been - STRANGE! People never seem to understand me or approve what I do. But again, that's okay since I love what I'm doing, and I believe that's what the Lord has kept for me. As long as that's true I don't mind the lack of encouragement and recognition I receieve from the people here for what I do or who I am. I do emphasize I LOVE my city and culture though people here are irritatingly narrow minded.

I'm only now disseminating the information I've gathered about motor racing and the Bible to others. I look forward to writing more articles. I have contributed an article to the Indian automobile magazine Overdrive's April 2008 issue, titled - "Scarlet Fever" on the motor racing history of Ferrari.
